DISCIPLINE
All the students of NCS are expected to observe disciplinary standards of the college in all their dealing. Failure to meet these standards will require them to appear before the disciplinary committee, who may recommend a suitable action against the students.
The action may lead to suspension of the students or expulsion from the college.
Any of the following will call for a disciplinary action.
1. Violation of the college rules and regulations.
2. Involvement in activities that are against the interests and reputation of the college.
3. Use of un-fair means.
4. Improper behavior in or outside the class-room.
5. Willful defiance of college authority whether alone or in association with others.
6. Any act of dishonesty including submission of false documents.
7. Association with actions harmful to good teaching environment.
8. Failure to meet the code of conduct of the college.

RULES & REGULATIONS
Students of the NCS- will follow the following rules and regulations. These rules and regulations are subject to change.
Code of Conduct:
The National College of Sciences and Business Management aims to equip students to meet the challenges of 21st century. The NCS expects its students to strive towards the acquisition of attributes that benefit the national objectives.
These attributes in turn should be reflected in their every day behavior, attitude and dress.
In order to achieve these goals all students are obliged to strictly follow the code of conduct laid down below:
1. It is responsibility of everyone to keep the college environment clean and tidy. Therefore no littering or thrash should be carelessly thrown or left. The designated waste bins should be used for the purpose.
2. The students are advised to refrain from any damage to the college furniture and fixture including misusing laboratory equipment blinds, writing on walls, desks.
3. The college campus is a no smoking area, and at no time in any part of the college smoking is allowed.
4. Students will be respectful to members of the opposite sex and will refrain from any behavior which can create problem.
5. Students are reminded that gender mixing is permissible only within the accepted social and cultural norms of the society. Boys and Girls are not allowed to sit next to each other in the class-rooms, labs and library or outside.
6. Students should refrain from conduct that might damage the reputation of the college.
7. Students are advised to switch off mobiles in the class rooms, labs, library and examination hall so as not to disrupt the calm of these places.
8. The female students and staff should not wear tight or see through dress, shorts or sleeveless shirts.
9. The students and staff are not expected to put on heavy make up or expensive jewellry.
10. Students must refrain from cheating, plagiarism, lying, stealing and gender harassment.

Examination and Attendance:
1. Regular monthly tests and term examination are held throughout the academic year for all students. Annual detention examinations are also held before board and university exams. All students are required to attend and pass these exams.
2. About 75% attendance is required for a students to be allowed to appear in the university and board examination, any students has less than 75% attendance, will not be allowed to appear in these examinations.
3. A student absent for five (5) consecutive days or absent for consecutive lectures in any one subject without approved leave will automatically be struck-off the college roll.
4. A student found guilty of using unfair means in the test or examination will be fined along with parent call.
5. A student who applies for leave must submit proper application duly signed by the parent or guardian.
6. Back-dated leave application will not be entertained in any case. It is responsibility of the student and his /her parents to submit the leave application in the college office in due time.
7. Leave is approved only to exempt the student from absentee fine and shall not be credited to his attendance and it should not be assumed to compensate for the compensation of attendance shortage at the end.
Examination Rules:
1. Write your name and roll number on the answer book as well as on the question paper.
2. Students are not allowed to take books, files, bags or any other material in the examination hall.
3. In the last five minute make sure that extra-sheets used by you are stapled to answer book.
4. During examination, do not talk or whisper, turn your eyes or head away from your answer book. Any evidence of cheating will earn you “F” grade as minimum penalty.
5. Students are required to sit according to the seating plan. The examiner can reallocate any students from his designated seat.
6. An examiner is authorized to dismiss you from the examination for use of un-fair means.
7. You are not allowed to continue writing after examiner announces, “The time is over, put your pens down.”

Refund Policy:
Admission fee paid by the student at the time of admission will not be refundable.
However the tuition fee refundable policy is as under:
Prior to commencement of classes 100% refundable
After the commencement of classes
In first week 75% refundable
In second week 60% refundable
In third week 50% refundable
After 3rd week of the commencement of classes, NO REFUND is allowed.

Library Rules:
1. All library materials must be borrowed out before leaving the library. Un borrowed items taken beyond the library gate are considered stolen. Offenders are liable to suspension and strict disciplinary action.
2. Silence must be observed in the library. The library staff has the right to ask the people to leave the library if they are talking, causing disturbance to others.
3. Chairs and study tables should not be moved around.
4. Eating, drinking and smoking are not allowed in library.
5. Personal belonging must be left outside the library or at the designated place. The college accepts no responsibility for these items left in the library.
6. Students are not allowed to use mobile phones in the library. Mobile phones must be switched off in the library.
7. Reference materials will not be issued.
8. Renewal of borrowed books can not be claimed as a right priority would be given to these in the waiting list.
9. A fine of Rs.5/- per day would be charged for each book returned after the due date.
10. If an item is lost, then the borrower must replace it. If an item is not found from local market then the double cost of the item will be charged.
11. Theft of library material is a major offence that may result in immediate expulsion from the college.

Computer Lab Rules:
Students are required to cooperate with the lab staff in order to run the lab affairs smoothly.
1. No personal equipment without prior permission of lab in-charge can be brought or installed in the computer lab.
2. No food stuff and drinks are allowed in the labs.
3. Use of mobile phone in the lab is strictly prohibited.
4. Relocation of the lab equipment is strictly prohibited.
5. No chatting is allowed.
6. No loud talking, noisy behavior or music is allowed in the labs.
7. No computer games are allowed in the lab.
8. No outsider without permission is allowed in the lab.

HOSTEL RULES:
National College of Sciences and Business Management has three (3) hostels while are situated in different parts of Peshawar. Details of hostel rules and regulations are given below which must be followed by all the boarder students.
1. Students seeking admission to hostels shall apply for a seat on the prescribed form, available from the college office however admission in the hostel is privilege not a right.
2. Seats shall be allotted by hostel warden in accordance with rules, subject to the availability of accommodation.
3. Students must pay their monthly charges before 5th of every month otherwise a penalty of Rs.50/- per day will be imposed.
4. Hostel dues are non refundable.
5. If a student intends to leave hostel he must inform the warden at-least 20-days before leaving the hostel in written form and must vacate the room before 1st of the month.
6. Hostel security shall be refunded after one month of submission of Hostel leaving application
7. Guests are strictly not allowed to stay fore more than three days (on Payment). If they prolong their stay for more than three days they will be charged for the whole month.
8. Loud music is strictly forbidden in the hostel.
9. Immoral activities are strictly prohibited inside the hostel premises if someone is found guilty he will be expelled immediately.
10. Students should keep their valuable and precious things strictly under lock and key. In case of loss, hostel administration will not be responsible.
11. Hostel gate will be locked after 10:30 PM and no student will be allowed to go outside.
12. If a student is on long leave, food charges food charges for fifteen days will be deducted.
13. In case of complaint/problem un necessary reasoning with hostel staff should be avoided & the warden should be informed immediately in order to solve and remove the problem.
